Kern Regional Center is partnering with Dr. Pomeranz to offer Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) trainings related to enhancing the quality of life of individuals receiving services through HCBS values and perspectives in various presentation topics for individuals, families, service providers and regional center staff.
It should be noted, Service providers are highly encouraged to attend the HCBS Overview training if they have not already. Per the DDS directive issued 12/26/2025 on Ongoing Monitoring and Reporting for HCBS settings in 2026, Service providers must complete training and train staff on understanding HCBS federal requirements “also known as the Final Rule – Settings criteria” and person-centered planning in service provision.
